CUSTOMER CONCERN Cabin heat is weak and both heater hoses remain cool. CAUSE The heater core was restricted and would not circulate hot engine coolant. CORRECTION Flush the restricted heater core, refill and bleed the cooling system, and verify normal cabin heat and coolant circulation.

CUSTOMER CONCERN The engine loses power with DTCs P1286, P128A and P2646. CAUSE The confirmed cases identified an incorrect/low engine-oil level preventing normal rocker-arm oil-pressure and VTEC operation. CORRECTION Correct the engine-oil level, clear P1286, P128A and P2646, and verify engine power and VTEC operation.

CUSTOMER CONCERN The engine will not crank forward and can only be rotated backward by hand. CAUSE Removing the serpentine belt freed the engine, and inspection confirmed the A/C compressor clutch was seized. CORRECTION Remove and replace the A/C compressor assembly, reinstall the serpentine belt, and verify normal engine cranking and starting operation.

CUSTOMER CONCERN The ABS and VSA warnings are on with left-rear wheel-speed-sensor circuit DTCs 17-1 and 18-1. CAUSE Circuit testing found a broken left-rear wheel-speed-sensor wire where the loom is secured to the body near the sensor connector. CORRECTION Repair the broken left-rear wheel-speed-sensor circuit, clear DTCs 17-1 and 18-1, and verify wheel-speed data and ABS/VSA operation.

CUSTOMER CONCERN The check-engine light is on and EVAP-system DTC P2422 is stored. CAUSE EVAP testing isolated a restriction between the canister and fuel tank to a blocked canister vent filter. CORRECTION Remove and replace the canister vent filter, clear P2422, and verify the EVAP system passes its restriction test.

CUSTOMER CONCERN The engine stalls after the vehicle sat for an extended period and DTCs P0BBD and P1A1F are stored. CAUSE The high-voltage battery state of charge fell too low during extended storage to support normal hybrid operation. CORRECTION Recharge the high-voltage battery using the scan-tool Jump Assist procedure, clear P0BBD and P1A1F, and verify starting and hybrid operation.

CUSTOMER CONCERN The vehicle was towed in with a no-crank, no-start condition and HPCM DTC P0C76. CAUSE The 300-volt impact-detection fault remained latched in the hybrid control system and inhibited starting. CORRECTION Fully charge and verify the 12-volt battery, perform the 300-volt impact-detection DTC clearing procedure in PIT4585F, clear P0C76, and verify starting operation.

CUSTOMER CONCERN The check-engine light is on and DTC P2418 resets as soon as the engine starts. CAUSE The confirmed repair identified an internally failed fuel vapor valve in the vapor-tube assembly. CORRECTION Remove and replace the fuel vapor valve and vapor-tube assembly, clear P2418, and verify the EVAP valve circuit operates normally.

CUSTOMER CONCERN The air conditioning is inoperative and thermal-protector open-circuit DTC B2992 resets immediately. CAUSE Voltage entered but did not exit the normally closed compressor thermal-protector circuit, confirming an open thermal protector inside the A/C compressor. CORRECTION Remove and replace the A/C compressor assembly, clear B2992, and verify air-conditioning operation.

CUSTOMER CONCERN Power-steering assist remains unavailable after replacement of the assist motor, with DTC C0460 stored in the Power Steering Control Module. CAUSE The replacement repair was incomplete because the PSCM software and steering position/torque-sensor calibration had not been set up. CORRECTION Program the Power Steering Control Module with current software, perform the steering position and torque-sensor calibration, clear C0460, and verify power-steering assist.
