2010 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Hybrid – No Power Steering With C0460

CUSTOMER CONCERN

Power-steering assist remains unavailable after replacement of the assist motor, with DTC C0460 stored in the Power Steering Control Module.

CAUSE

The replacement repair was incomplete because the PSCM software and steering position/torque-sensor calibration had not been set up.

CORRECTION

Program the Power Steering Control Module with current software, perform the steering position and torque-sensor calibration, clear C0460, and verify power-steering assist.
