2021 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid XLE – No Start With Low Voltage at Jump Terminal
CUSTOMER CONCERN The vehicle will not power up or start. The 12-volt battery tests good, but voltage is low at the underhood jump terminal. CAUSE The stud at No. 3 short connector A90/Y7 was loose, creating excessive resistance and a voltage drop between the 12-volt battery and underhood power distribution. CORRECTION Repair and secure the loose stud at No. 3 short connector A90/Y7, then verify full battery voltage at the underhood jump terminal and normal Ready-mode operatio
2018 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid Limited – Sunroof Opens by Itself With Ignition Off
CUSTOMER CONCERN The sunroof intermittently opens by itself while the ignition is off. CAUSE Blocked sunroof drains allowed water into the moon-roof control unit, causing internal corrosion and unintended roof operation. CORRECTION Remove and replace the corroded moon-roof control unit, clear the blocked sunroof drains, and verify the roof remains closed with the ignition off and operates normally on command.
2019 Toyota Prius C L – Grille Shutter Initialization Incomplete With P059F73
CUSTOMER CONCERN After collision damage and grille-shutter replacement, the system reports that initialization is incomplete; the original fault was P059F73 for a shutter stuck closed. CAUSE The replacement active grille shutter had not completed its required initialization. CORRECTION Place the grille-shutter system in normal run mode, cycle the ignition to complete active grille shutter initialization, clear the stored fault, and verify normal shutter operation.
2016 Toyota Prius Four Touring – Clean Park Sensors Message After Collision Repair
CUSTOMER CONCERN After collision repairs, the dash displays a message to clean the parking sensors even though the sensors are clean. CAUSE The repaired rear parking-aid sensors were out of calibration after the bumper work. CORRECTION Calibrate the parking-aid sensors and verify the false clean-sensor message no longer appears and parking-assist operation is normal.
2017 Toyota Prius Four – Warning Lights With P261B
CUSTOMER CONCERN Warning lights come on intermittently and DTC P261B sets because engine water-pump speed is below the commanded value.
