2012 Honda Civic Hybrid – Air Conditioning Inoperative With B2992

CUSTOMER CONCERN
The air conditioning is inoperative and thermal-protector open-circuit DTC B2992 resets immediately.
CAUSE
Voltage entered but did not exit the normally closed compressor thermal-protector circuit, confirming an open thermal protector inside the A/C compressor.
CORRECTION
Remove and replace the A/C compressor assembly, clear B2992, and verify air-conditioning operation.
