CUSTOMER CONCERN Following collision repairs and replacement of the brake-booster pump, DTCs C1252, C1253, C1256, C1345 and C1465 remain stored. CAUSE Accumulator pressure was low because air remained in the electronically controlled brake hydraulic system. CUSTOMER CONCERN After replacement of a burned engine wiring harness, the skid-control ECU stores C1252, C1253, C1256 and C1345. CAUSE Power and ground testing isolated the remaining brake-system fault to a failed skid-control ECU with actuator. CORRECTION Remove and replace the skid-control ECU with actuator, clear C1252, C1253, C1256 and C1345, and verify electronically controlled brake operation.
2012 Lexus RX450h – Brake Warning Codes After Brake Service
CUSTOMER CONCERN After brake service, hydraulic-system DTCs C1341, C1342, C1343 and C1344 are stored. CAUSE Air remained in the electronically controlled brake hydraulic system after the brake job. CORRECTION Perform the scan-tool-assisted brake bleeding procedure, clear C1341 through C1344, and verify normal brake-pedal feel and hydraulic-system operation.
2012 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid – Check Engine Light With P0456
CUSTOMER CONCERN The check-engine light is on with EVAP very-small-leak DTC P0456. CAUSE Smoke testing with soapy water exposed hairline cracks around the charcoal-canister mounting bolts. CORRECTION Remove and replace the cracked charcoal canister, clear P0456, and verify the EVAP system passes its leak test.
2011 Honda CR-Z – Check Engine Light With P0A3F
CUSTOMER CONCERN The check-engine light previously illuminated and history DTC P0A3F is stored. CAUSE The hybrid motor rotor-position sensor was confirmed faulty. CORRECTION Remove and replace the hybrid motor rotor-position sensor, clear P0A3F, and verify the fault does not return.
2012 Lexus CT200h – No Ready Mode With P0A0D
CUSTOMER CONCERN The vehicle will not enter READY mode after collision repairs and P0A0D returns after clearing. CAUSE The HV battery service plug was inserted but not moved fully into its locked position, leaving the high-voltage interlock circuit open. CORRECTION Seat and lock the HV battery service plug correctly, clear P0A0D, and verify the vehicle enters READY mode.
2012 Kia Optima Hybrid – Transmission Shift Fault With P1775 and U1007
CUSTOMER CONCERN The transmission shifts incorrectly with OPU status-line DTC P1775 and C-CAN OPU timeout DTC U1007. CAUSE Power, ground and status-circuit testing isolated the fault to the Electric Oil Pump Unit. CORRECTION Remove and replace the Electric Oil Pump Unit, clear P1775 and U1007, and verify proper transmission shifting.
2013 Honda CR-Z EX – IMA Warning With P0AE1
CUSTOMER CONCERN The IMA warning is on with P0AE1, and replacing the junction-board/contactor unit did not correct the fault. CAUSE The Motor Power Inverter inside the Intelligent Inverter Unit remained faulty after the junction board and HV battery were ruled out. CORRECTION Remove and replace the Intelligent Inverter Unit/Motor Power Inverter, clear P0AE1, and verify IMA operation.
2012 Honda Insight EX – Engine Misfire and No Compression
CUSTOMER CONCERN The engine misfires with no compression on cylinder 3, no oil registering on the dipstick, cylinder-misfire DTCs and P1286, P128A and P2646. CAUSE Testing confirmed internal engine damage with loss of cylinder compression associated with severe oil consumption. CORRECTION Remove and replace the damaged engine assembly, clear all stored DTCs, and verify compression and normal engine operation.
