CUSTOMER CONCERN Customer states the vehicle will not enter READY mode or crank after collision damage. DTC P0A0D is stored. CAUSE The hybrid ECU did not receive the required ground through the high-voltage interlock circuit, confirming an open battery service-plug interlock switch. CORRECTION Secure or remove and replace battery service plug interlock as required. Clear DTC P0A0D and verify READY-mode operation.
2007 Saturn Vue Green Line – Abrupt Stall With P0A92 P1A6F P2797
CUSTOMER CONCERN Customer states the engine abruptly stalls while driving. DTCs P0A92, P1A6F and P2797 are stored. CAUSE Auto-start testing and 36-volt three-phase circuit checks confirmed an internal Motor Generator Unit failure. CORRECTION Remove and replace Motor Generator Unit. Clear hybrid-system DTCs and verify auto-start operation.
2007 Saturn Vue Green Line – P0A92 After A/C Compressor Replacement
CUSTOMER CONCERN Customer states DTC P0A92 began setting after the A/C compressor was replaced. CAUSE Inspection confirmed the hybrid drive-belt tensioner was damaged and could not maintain correct belt tension. CORRECTION Remove and replace hybrid drive-belt tensioner. Inspect and correctly install hybrid drive belt, clear DTC P0A92 and verify starter-generator operation.
2007 Saturn Vue Green Line – Check Engine Light With P0014
CUSTOMER CONCERN Customer states the check-engine light comes on while driving. DTC P0014 is stored. CAUSE Oil-condition and camshaft-actuator testing confirmed the exhaust camshaft phaser was not controlling valve timing correctly. CORRECTION Remove and replace exhaust camshaft phaser. Change engine oil and filter as required, clear DTC P0014 and verify camshaft timing operation.
2007 Saturn Vue Green Line – Rough Idle With P1174 and P0300
CUSTOMER CONCERN Customer states the engine idles roughly and the check-engine light is on. DTCs P1174 and P0300 are stored. CAUSE Ignition spark and engine compression tested correctly, while cylinder-balance testing confirmed restricted or failed fuel injectors. CORRECTION Remove and replace fuel injectors. Clear DTCs and verify smooth idle operation.
2007 Saturn Vue Green Line – Battery Goes Dead With P0AFB U0111 U1897
CUSTOMER CONCERN Customer states the battery intermittently goes dead while driving. DTCs P0AFB, U0111 and U1897 are stored. CAUSE BECM communication, power, ground and data-circuit checks confirmed an internal Battery Energy Control Module failure. CORRECTION Remove and replace Battery Energy Control Module. Program and configure replacement module. Clear hybrid-system DTCs and verify charging operation.
2008 Chevrolet Malibu Hybrid – Intermittent No Crank With P0601
CUSTOMER CONCERN Customer states the vehicle intermittently will not crank or start. DTC P0601 repeatedly returns. CAUSE PCM power and ground circuits tested correctly, confirming an internal memory fault in the Powertrain Control Module. CORRECTION Remove and replace Powertrain Control Module. Program module with current calibration, perform crankshaft-position variation relearn and clear DTC P0601.
2007 Saturn Aura Green Line – 12-Volt System Not Charging
CUSTOMER CONCERN Customer states the 12-volt battery goes dead and the charging system is inoperative. DTCs P1A63, P1A6B, P1A8F, P1A94 and P1AB1 are stored. CAUSE Connector-terminal, power-feed and ground testing confirmed an internal failure of the Starter Generator Control Module. CORRECTION Remove and replace Starter Generator Control Module. Program and configure replacement module. Clear hybrid-system DTCs and verify 12-volt charging operation.
2009 Chevrolet Malibu Hybrid – Surge and Belt Chatter on Acceleration
CUSTOMER CONCERN Customer states the vehicle surges during acceleration and the drive belt chatters when the engine is revved. CAUSE Inspection confirmed a worn serpentine belt and worn belt tensioner that could not maintain correct belt control. CORRECTION Remove and replace serpentine belt and belt tensioner. Verify proper belt tracking and operation.
2007 Nissan Altima Hybrid – TPMS Light With C1727
CUSTOMER CONCERN Customer states the tire-pressure warning light is on. DTC C1727 identifies low battery voltage from the left-rear tire-pressure sensor. CAUSE The internal battery in the left-rear tire-pressure monitoring sensor was depleted. CORRECTION Remove and replace left-rear tire-pressure monitoring sensor. Register sensor identification and perform TPMS relearn.
