CUSTOMER CONCERN

Customer states the vehicle surges during acceleration and the drive belt chatters when the engine is revved.

CAUSE

Inspection confirmed a worn serpentine belt and worn belt tensioner that could not maintain correct belt control.

CORRECTION

Remove and replace serpentine belt and belt tensioner. Verify proper belt tracking and operation.
