CUSTOMER CONCERN

Customer states the check-engine light comes on while driving. DTC P0014 is stored.

CAUSE

Oil-condition and camshaft-actuator testing confirmed the exhaust camshaft phaser was not controlling valve timing correctly.

CORRECTION

Remove and replace exhaust camshaft phaser. Change engine oil and filter as required, clear DTC P0014 and verify camshaft timing operation.
