CAUSE The condition matched the updated combination-meter repair information, confirming an internal combination-meter failure. CORRECTION Remove and replace combination meter with updated unit. Configure odometer data as required and verify normal display and power-down operation.
2007 Toyota Prius – No Start After Collision With P0A0D
CUSTOMER CONCERN Customer states the vehicle will not start after collision repair. DTC P0A0D is stored. CAUSE Inspection confirmed the high-voltage battery service plug was improperly installed, leaving the interlock circuit open. CORRECTION Correctly install and lock high-voltage battery service plug. Clear DTC P0A0D and verify READY-mode operation.
2007 Toyota Prius – No Cabin Heat With P1116 P1121 P1122
CUSTOMER CONCERN Customer states there is no heat inside the vehicle. DTCs P1116, P1121 and P1122 are stored. CAUSE Active testing showed the coolant heat-storage water-valve position signal did not follow commanded positions, confirming a failed coolant flow-control valve. CORRECTION Remove and replace coolant flow-control valve. Refill and bleed engine cooling system. Clear DTCs and verify cabin heat operation.

CUSTOMER CONCERN Customer states the master warning and check-engine lights are on. DTC P0A80 is stored. CAUSE Hybrid-battery block-voltage testing confirmed excessive voltage variation inside the high-voltage battery pack. CORRECTION Remove and replace high-voltage battery pack. Clear hybrid-system DTCs.
2008 Toyota Highlander Hybrid Limited – Intermittent Shutdown With P0A40
CUSTOMER CONCERN Customer states the vehicle intermittently shuts off and all warning lights illuminate. DTC P0A40 is stored. CAUSE Drive-motor position-sensor circuit testing and inverter recall identification confirmed an internal hybrid converter/inverter assembly failure. CORRECTION Remove and replace hybrid converter/inverter assembly. Complete applicable recall programming, clear hybrid-system DTCs and verify vehicle operation.
2007 Toyota Highlander Hybrid Limited – Brake Clunk With C1241
CUSTOMER CONCERN Customer states the brake actuator makes a loud clunk or bang with the brake pedal applied. DTC C1241 is stored. CAUSE C1241 subcode testing confirmed the 12-volt battery was failing and causing low system voltage. CORRECTION Remove and replace 12-volt battery. Clear brake-system DTCs and verify normal brake-actuator operation.
2007 Toyota Highlander Hybrid – ABS Pump Runs With C1391
CUSTOMER CONCERN Customer states the ABS and brake warning lights are on and the ABS pump runs repeatedly. DTC C1391 is stored. CAUSE No external brake-fluid leak was found, and accumulator pressure dropped after pump shutdown, confirming internal brake-actuator leakage. CORRECTION Remove and replace ABS brake actuator assembly. Perform actuator initialization and brake-system bleed. Clear DTC C1391.
2007 Toyota Highlander Hybrid – Engine Overheats and Leaks Coolant
CUSTOMER CONCERN Customer states the engine overheats and coolant leaks from the radiator area. CAUSE Inspection identified the larger radiator nearest the engine as the leaking engine-cooling radiator. CORRECTION Remove and replace engine radiator. Refill and bleed engine cooling system and verify no coolant leaks.
2007 Toyota Highlander Hybrid – No Brake Pressure After Rear Calipers
CUSTOMER CONCERN Customer states brake pressure was lost at the right rear after rear brake and caliper replacement, and conventional bleeding did not restore the pedal. CAUSE Air remained trapped in the electronically controlled brake system and the hydraulic pump required scan-tool activation. CORRECTION Operate brake pump and perform complete hybrid ABS bleed procedure with a compatible scan tool. Verify brake-pedal pressure.
2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid – Check Hybrid System With P0A80
CUSTOMER CONCERN Customer states the check-hybrid-system warning is on and DTC P0A80 is stored. CAUSE Hybrid-battery voltage testing found more than a 0.5-volt difference between battery blocks, confirming high-voltage battery deterioration. CORRECTION Remove and replace high-voltage battery pack. Clear hybrid-system DTCs.
