CUSTOMER CONCERN Customer states the ABS warning light is on. DTCs C1321, C1475 and U2023 are stored. CAUSE No external brake-fluid leaks were found, confirming an internal failure of the ABS hydraulic unit/control module assembly. CORRECTION Remove and replace ABS hydraulic control unit/control module assembly. Program module, perform hybrid ABS bleed procedure and clear DTCs.
2008 Ford Escape Hybrid – Stop Safely Now With P0B37 P1A10
CUSTOMER CONCERN Customer states the engine will not crank and the Stop Safely Now message is displayed. DTCs P0B37 and P1A10 are stored. CAUSE Inspection confirmed the high-voltage battery service disconnect handle was not fully latched, leaving the interlock circuit open. CORRECTION Correctly seat and latch high-voltage battery service disconnect. Clear hybrid-system DTCs and verify normal starting operation.
2008 Ford Escape Hybrid – Ignition Key Hard to Turn and No Start

CAUSE Inspection under TSB 09-19-15 confirmed the steering-column lock module housing was binding the ignition mechanism. CORRECTION Remove and replace steering-column lock module. Verify smooth key rotation and normal starting operation.

2007 Ford Escape Hybrid – Low Brake Pedal After Brake Hose Repair
CUSTOMER CONCERN Customer states the brake pedal remains low after front brake-hose replacement and DTC C1525 is stored. CAUSE Air remained trapped in the electronically controlled hydraulic brake system because the required hybrid service-bleed routine had not been completed. CORRECTION Perform complete ABS service-bleed procedure with a compatible scan tool and pressure bleeder. Clear DTC C1525.
2007 Ford Escape Hybrid – ABS Light and Abnormal Brake Pedal
CUSTOMER CONCERN Customer states the ABS warning light is on and brake-pedal operation feels abnormal. The ABS module stores C1524, C1526 and U2023. CAUSE Circuit testing at the brake-pedal position sensor found the sensor signal did not agree with the 5-volt reference circuits on the Blue/Brown and Brown/White wires, confirming a failed BPP sensor. CORRECTION Remove and replace brake-pedal position sensor. Perform sensor calibration and clear ABS DTCs.
