CUSTOMER CONCERN The high-voltage battery warning is illuminated and the energy-management module stores fault 8526361 / B1802 F1 [008]. CAUSE The high-voltage battery was confirmed failed, triggering the battery warning and stored energy-management fault. CORRECTION Remove and replace the failed high-voltage battery assembly, clear fault 8526361 / B1802 F1 [008], and verify the high-voltage warning remains off and the hybrid system operates normally.
2016 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid XLE – Post-Collision Steering Codes C1231 C1A47 and C1626
CUSTOMER CONCERN After a driver-side wheel impact and suspension repairs, DTCs C1231, C1A47, and C1626 remain stored for the steering-angle system. CAUSE The steering-angle sensor was confirmed faulty after the collision damage. CORRECTION Remove and replace the failed steering-angle sensor, clear DTCs C1231, C1A47, and C1626, and verify steering-angle data and system operation.
2018 Toyota Prius Four – Hybrid Malfunction With C1241 and P1CCC96
CUSTOMER CONCERN A hybrid-system malfunction warning is displayed and DTCs C1241 and P1CCC96 are stored. CAUSE The DC/DC converter had an internal failure even though the 12-volt charging voltage measured 14.5 volts in READY mode. CORRECTION Remove and replace the failed DC/DC converter/inverter assembly, clear DTCs C1241 and P1CCC96, and verify 12-volt charging operation.
2012 Toyota Prius V Three – Multiple EFI Circuit Codes From Low Voltage
CUSTOMER CONCERN The malfunction indicator lamp is on with DTCs P0031, P0037, P0102, and P0403; the affected sensors and actuators receive only about 8.4 to 8.5 volts even though the EFI No. 2 fuse has 11.7 volts. CAUSE Terminal 4 was loose in connector DA2 at the engine-compartment fuse box, causing excessive voltage loss in the shared EFI No. 2 power circuit. CUSTOMER CONCERN The brake pedal is hard and DTCs C1253 and C1256 are stored after body repairs. CAUSE Rodent damage opened the brake-booster pump wiring at its connector, interrupting power to the ABS hydraulic modulator/pump assembly. CORRECTION Repair the rodent-damaged brake-booster pump wiring at the connector, clear DTCs C1253 and C1256, and verify normal brake operation.
2015 Toyota Camry Hybrid SE – Brake System Codes C1252 C1253 C1256 and C1345
CUSTOMER CONCERN After engine-harness replacement, the skid-control ECU stores DTCs C1252, C1253, C1256, and C1345. CAUSE The skid-control ECU with actuator failed after the brake-booster pump power, ground, and direct-operation checks. CORRECTION Remove and replace the failed skid-control ECU with actuator.
2015 Toyota Avalon Hybrid XLE Touring – Generator Circuit Codes P0A39 P0A4C and P0A4D
CUSTOMER CONCERN DTCs P0A39, P0A4C, and P0A4D are stored for the generator temperature and resolver circuits. CAUSE The hybrid-transmission wiring on top of the transaxle was damaged, opening or shorting the generator resolver circuit. CORRECTION Repair the damaged hybrid-transmission wiring on top of the transaxle.
2015 Toyota Avalon Hybrid XLE Touring – Overheating With P261B
CUSTOMER CONCERN The engine overheats and stores DTC P261B; the electric water pump reports approximately 6,000 rpm when commanded to 3,000 rpm. CAUSE The engine-coolant pump impeller loosened on its shaft, allowing the motor to overspeed without moving coolant correctly. CORRECTION Remove and replace the failed engine-coolant water pump.
2015 Nissan LEAF S – Leaking Brake Master Cylinder
CUSTOMER CONCERN The brake master-cylinder assembly is leaking. CAUSE The brake master-cylinder assembly had an external hydraulic leak. CORRECTION Remove and replace the leaking brake master cylinder, bleed the brake system, and perform the required stroke-sensor zero-point relearn.
