2012 Chevrolet Volt – Check-Engine Light After Collision Repair With P1E00 and P0C4A
CUSTOMER CONCERN The check-engine light remains on after collision repairs with DTCs P1E00 and P0C4A. CAUSE Air trapped in the high-voltage battery cooling circuit prevented proper coolant-pump flow and set the cooling-system fault. CORRECTION Refill and bleed the high-voltage battery cooling system with the Vac-N-Fill procedure, repeat thermal cycles as required, clear the DTCs, and verify coolant-pump operation.
2010 Cadillac Escalade Hybrid – Slow Cranking After Engine Repair
CUSTOMER CONCERN The engine cranks very slowly after engine repairs and the hybrid battery measures just over 200 volts with the key on. CAUSE The high-voltage battery state of charge was too low to crank the engine at normal speed, while remaining above the 180-volt jump-assist threshold. CORRECTION Recharge the high-voltage battery with the approved jump-assist procedure and verify normal cranking and starting operation.
2012 Chevrolet Volt – High-Voltage Battery Will Not Charge With P0D26
CUSTOMER CONCERN The high-voltage battery will not charge and DTCs P0D26, P0CD2, and P1E00 are stored. CAUSE The confirmed repair identified the X98 hybrid/EV battery charger receptacle as failed. CORRECTION Remove and replace the X98 hybrid/EV battery charger receptacle, clear P0D26, P0CD2, and P1E00, and verify plug-in charging operation.
2012 Buick LaCrosse – Driver Window Inoperative With U1538
CUSTOMER CONCERN The driver window is inoperative, while the other windows operate from their individual switches, and the BCM stores DTC U1538. CAUSE Inspection found two corroded factory splices in the wiring harness below the driver-side door sill, interrupting power and communication to the driver window switch. CORRECTION Repair the corroded wiring splices below the driver door sill and verify driver-window and master-switch operation.
2013 Buick LaCrosse – Airbag Light On With B101D
CUSTOMER CONCERN The airbag warning light remains on and the K36 Sensing and Diagnostic Module stores DTC B101D. CAUSE DTC B101D was confirmed as an internal fault in the K36 Inflatable Restraint Sensing and Diagnostic Module rather than an external circuit failure. CORRECTION Remove and replace the K36 Inflatable Restraint Sensing and Diagnostic Module, then program and configure the replacement module.
2013 Chevrolet Malibu Eco – Rough Idle With P0089
CUSTOMER CONCERN Engine runs rough at idle with DTCs P0016, P0089, and P228D, and the engine oil level is approximately three quarts low. CAUSE Inspection found the upper timing-chain guide failed, with the top of its bracket missing and grooves worn into the valve cover. CORRECTION Remove and replace the timing chain and correct the failed upper-guide condition.
2012 Buick LaCrosse Premium – Intermittent No Crank and Stalling
CUSTOMER CONCERN Vehicle intermittently will not crank and may stall while driving with DTCs P1682, P0AC4, P069E, and P2534 stored. CAUSE Confirmed repair results identified an intermittent internal failure of the ignition switch. CORRECTION Remove and replace the ignition switch and verify reliable starting and continued engine operation.
2013 Buick LaCrosse – Check Engine Light With P0411
CUSTOMER CONCERN The malfunction indicator is on with DTC P0411. CAUSE Inspection found the secondary-air passages open through most of the system but plugged solid where they meet the cylinder head. CORRECTION Clean the restricted secondary-air injection passages at the cylinder head and verify proper air flow through the system.
2013 Chevrolet Malibu Eco – Check Engine Light With P219A
CUSTOMER CONCERN The malfunction indicator is on with DTC P219A, no misfires are present, and long-term fuel trim remains in the single digits. CAUSE Flow testing found one fuel injector delivering substantially less fuel than the other three. Cleaning did not restore the injector's flow. CORRECTION Remove and replace the low-flow fuel injector, confirm the replacement injector matches the remaining injectors, and road test to verify DTC P219A does not return.
2012 Buick LaCrosse Premium – Hybrid Codes P1A6F and P0A90
CUSTOMER CONCERN Hybrid-system DTCs P1A6F and P0A90 are stored. CAUSE Inspection found the drive motor-generator belt broken cleanly and the belt tensioner binding instead of pivoting smoothly.
