2012 Buick LaCrosse – 12-Volt Charging System Inoperative
CUSTOMER CONCERN The 12-volt charging system is inoperative and DTCs P0AC4, U0293, and U1817 are stored. CAUSE The Hybrid Powertrain Control Module would not communicate even though its power and ground circuits were present, DLC terminals 6 and 14 measured 60 ohms, and other high-speed GMLAN modules communicated normally. Testing confirmed an internal HPCM/Starter Generator Control Module failure. CORRECTION Remove and replace the Hybrid Powertrain Control Module/Starter Gen
2012 Buick LaCrosse – Hesitation With P0010
CUSTOMER CONCERN Vehicle hesitates during acceleration and stores DTC P0010. CAUSE Comparative resistance testing found excessive resistance in the intake camshaft position actuator solenoid. A normal actuator solenoid measures approximately 12 ohms. CORRECTION Remove and replace the intake camshaft position actuator solenoid, clear DTC P0010, and verify normal acceleration response.
2012 Buick LaCrosse – Check Engine Light With P0013
CUSTOMER CONCERN Check-engine light is on with DTC P0013. CAUSE Circuit checks and exact-source confirmed repairs identified a failed exhaust camshaft position actuator solenoid. The solenoid specification is 8–13 ohms; if it tests within range, the wiring to the ECM requires inspection. CORRECTION Remove and replace the exhaust camshaft position actuator solenoid, clear DTC P0013, and verify the code does not return.
2011 Toyota Highlander Hybrid Limited – P2602 Returns After Inverter Pump Replacement
CUSTOMER CONCERN Check-engine warning is on with DTC P2602, and replacing the inverter water pump did not stop the code from returning. CAUSE P2602 applied to the transaxle oil-circulation pump rather than the inverter coolant pump. Power, ground and control-circuit testing identified the transmission oil-pump assembly as the failed component. CORRECTION Remove and replace the transmission oil-pump assembly, clear DTC P2602, and verify transaxle oil-pump operation.
2011 Toyota Prius – ABS Pump Runs Repeatedly With C1391
CUSTOMER CONCERN DTC C1391 is stored and the ABS actuator pump cycles repeatedly while a hissing sound comes from the actuator. CAUSE Accumulator pressure repeatedly fell from about 3.8 volts to 3.2 volts, causing the pump to restart. The actuator leaked internally past its solenoids and could not hold brake pressure. CORRECTION Remove and replace the ABS actuator assembly, perform the required resets and calibration, clear DTC C1391, and verify accumulator pressure remains s
2011 Toyota Prius – Check Engine and Master Warning Lights With P0A80
CUSTOMER CONCERN Check-engine and master-warning lights return every few days with DTC P0A80. CAUSE Battery-cooling-fan service did not prevent P0A80 from returning. Hybrid battery block monitoring and repeated exact-source confirmations identified a deteriorated high-voltage battery pack. CORRECTION Remove and replace the high-voltage battery pack, clear DTC P0A80, and verify the hybrid warning lights remain off.
2011 Nissan LEAF SV – Power Windows Inoperative
CUSTOMER CONCERN Power windows are inoperative. CAUSE Inspection found a heat-damaged terminal at the power-window master-switch connector, preventing the switch from operating the windows. CORRECTION Remove and replace the power-window master switch after confirming the melted connector terminal.
2010 Toyota Camry Hybrid – No Start and No Fuel Pressure
CUSTOMER CONCERN Engine will not start because the fuel pump has no power or fuel pressure, although bypassing the relay makes the pump run. CAUSE The ECM grounded the Yellow control wire at engine-room fuse-box connector 1E terminal 8 during crank, but no voltage appeared at connector 1E terminal 13. Testing confirmed failure of the integral circuit-opening relay section in the fuse box. CORRECTION Remove and replace the engine-room fuse-box relay section containing the non-
2009 Toyota Camry Hybrid – 12-Volt Battery Goes Dead Overnight
CUSTOMER CONCERN The 12-volt battery goes dead because of a 1.08-amp parasitic draw; removing engine-room junction-block fuse 13 drops the draw to 0.015 amp. CAUSE A rear reading light remained switched on and was difficult to notice, creating the parasitic load on the dome-fuse circuit. CORRECTION Switch off and correctly position the rear reading-light switch, then verify the parasitic draw remains at approximately 0.015 amp.
2011 Toyota Camry Hybrid – Remote Door Locks Inoperative
CUSTOMER CONCERN Remote and door-button locks do not operate, the security indicator does not flash, and the vehicle reports a smart-key/security system fault. CAUSE The door-control receiver circuit lost operation at the left-door harness connection. Manipulating the harness restored the system, and the confirmed repair identified the receiver wiring/connector as the fault. CORRECTION Repair the door-control receiver wiring and reseat the left-door harness connector, then ve
