2010 Cadillac Escalade Hybrid – Slow Cranking After Engine Repair

CUSTOMER CONCERN

The engine cranks very slowly after engine repairs and the hybrid battery measures just over 200 volts with the key on.

CAUSE

The high-voltage battery state of charge was too low to crank the engine at normal speed, while remaining above the 180-volt jump-assist threshold.

CORRECTION

Recharge the high-voltage battery with the approved jump-assist procedure and verify normal cranking and starting operation.
