CUSTOMER CONCERN

Customer states the vehicle intermittently shuts off and all warning lights illuminate. DTC P0A40 is stored.

CAUSE

Drive-motor position-sensor circuit testing and inverter recall identification confirmed an internal hybrid converter/inverter assembly failure.

CORRECTION

Remove and replace hybrid converter/inverter assembly. Complete applicable recall programming, clear hybrid-system DTCs and verify vehicle operation.
