2008 Saturn Vue Green Line – Intermittent C0561-71 and P0011
CUSTOMER CONCERN Customer states warning lights come on intermittently. DTCs C0561-71 and P0011 are stored. CAUSE Oil-condition and actuator-circuit testing confirmed the intake camshaft position actuator solenoid was not controlling cam timing correctly. CORRECTION Remove and replace intake camshaft position actuator solenoid. Clear DTCs C0561-71 and P0011 and verify commanded and actual camshaft positions agree.
2008 Saturn Vue Green Line – Check Engine Light With P0013 P0014
CUSTOMER CONCERN Customer states the check-engine light comes on intermittently. DTCs P0013 and P0014 are stored. CAUSE Resistance testing found the exhaust camshaft position actuator solenoid outside the specified 8–12 ohm range, confirming an internal solenoid fault. CORRECTION Remove and replace exhaust camshaft position actuator solenoid. Clear DTCs P0013 and P0014 and verify commanded camshaft timing operation.
2007 Saturn Aura Green Line – Battery Goes Dead With P0AFB U0111 U1897
CUSTOMER CONCERN Customer states the hybrid battery intermittently goes dead while driving. DTCs P0AFB, U0111 and U1897 are stored. CAUSE Power, ground and data-circuit checks isolated lost communication and high-voltage reporting faults to an internally failed Battery Energy Control Module. CORRECTION Remove and replace Battery Energy Control Module. Program and configure replacement module with the correct calibration, clear DTCs and verify hybrid-battery communication.
2009 Chevrolet Malibu Hybrid – Battery Codes After Storage
CUSTOMER CONCERN Customer states the vehicle was parked for approximately two months and now stores DTCs P0AFB, P1A22, P1A26 and P1A29. CAUSE Campaign inspection confirmed the hybrid battery pack had failed after the extended storage period. CORRECTION Remove and replace hybrid battery pack under the applicable campaign. Clear hybrid-system DTCs and verify battery-system operation.
2009 Nissan Altima Hybrid – Check Engine Light and High Idle With P0507
CUSTOMER CONCERN Customer states the check-engine light is on and engine idle speed is too high. DTC P0507 is stored. CAUSE Idle-speed testing confirmed the idle-air volume adaptation was not completing, leaving engine speed more than 200 rpm above the target value. CORRECTION Perform accelerator-pedal released-position learning, throttle-valve closed-position learning and idle-air volume learning. Clear DTC P0507 and verify normal idle speed.
2009 Nissan Altima Hybrid – Push-Button No Start
CUSTOMER CONCERN Customer states the vehicle does not power up or start when the push-button ignition switch is pressed, although remote-key functions still operate. CAUSE BCM steering-lock status testing confirmed the electronic steering column lock failed to report the required unlock state and authorize ignition power-up. 2008 Nissan Altima Hybrid – Check Engine Light With P0A93
CUSTOMER CONCERN Customer states the malfunction indicator light is on. DTC P0A93 is stored, and the inverter water pump runs briefly before shutting off when commanded with a scan tool. CAUSE The pump retained battery voltage and ground but would not continue operating, confirming an internally failed inverter water pump. CORRECTION Remove and replace inverter water pump. Refill and bleed inverter cooling circuit, clear DTC P0A93 and verify commanded pump operation.
2008 Nissan Altima Hybrid – No Start With P0A0D
CUSTOMER CONCERN Customer states the vehicle will not start after the discharged 12-volt battery was replaced. DTC P0A0D returns immediately. CAUSE Inspection confirmed the high-voltage battery service-plug grip was not fully seated, leaving the safety interlock open. CORRECTION Correctly seat and latch the high-voltage battery service-plug grip. Clear DTC P0A0D and verify READY-mode operation.
2009 Nissan Altima Hybrid – P0A93 P0AC4 and Inverter Coolant Leak
CUSTOMER CONCERN Customer states the malfunction indicator light is on with DTCs P0A93 and P0AC4, and the vehicle will not complete its emissions test. CAUSE The inverter cooling reservoir was empty, and inspection confirmed coolant leaking from an inverter cooling-system hose. CORRECTION Repair leaking inverter cooling-system hose. Refill and bleed inverter cooling circuit, clear DTCs P0A93 and P0AC4 and verify coolant circulation.
2008 Mercury Mariner Hybrid – Steering Wheel Shakes With B2278
CUSTOMER CONCERN Customer states the steering wheel shakes slightly by itself while the vehicle is running and the wheel is centered. DTC B2278 is stored. CAUSE Power-steering testing confirmed a malfunctioning steering-shaft torque sensor. CORRECTION Remove and replace steering-shaft torque sensor. Perform steering-angle and torque-sensor calibration, clear DTC B2278 and verify steering operation.
