CUSTOMER CONCERN

Customer states warning lights come on intermittently. DTCs C0561-71 and P0011 are stored.

CAUSE

Oil-condition and actuator-circuit testing confirmed the intake camshaft position actuator solenoid was not controlling cam timing correctly.

CORRECTION

Remove and replace intake camshaft position actuator solenoid. Clear DTCs C0561-71 and P0011 and verify commanded and actual camshaft positions agree.
