CUSTOMER CONCERN

Customer states the vehicle does not power up or start when the push-button ignition switch is pressed, although remote-key functions still operate.

CAUSE

BCM steering-lock status testing confirmed the electronic steering column lock failed to report the required unlock state and authorize ignition power-up.

CORRECTION

Remove and replace electronic steering column lock unit. Complete required steering-lock registration and verify push-button starting operation.
