CUSTOMER CONCERN

Customer states the steering wheel shakes slightly by itself while the vehicle is running and the wheel is centered. DTC B2278 is stored.

CAUSE

Power-steering testing confirmed a malfunctioning steering-shaft torque sensor.

CORRECTION

Remove and replace steering-shaft torque sensor. Perform steering-angle and torque-sensor calibration, clear DTC B2278 and verify steering operation.
