2012 Kia Optima Hybrid – Transmission Shift Fault With P1775 and U1007

CUSTOMER CONCERN

The transmission shifts incorrectly with OPU status-line DTC P1775 and C-CAN OPU timeout DTC U1007.

CAUSE

Power, ground and status-circuit testing isolated the fault to the Electric Oil Pump Unit.

CORRECTION

Remove and replace the Electric Oil Pump Unit, clear P1775 and U1007, and verify proper transmission shifting.
