2021 Toyota Venza XLE – Park Assist Warning With U023A-87 After Collision Repair

CUSTOMER CONCERN
After collision repairs and replacement of the front bumper and steering rack, the intuitive park-assist warning remains on and the EPS system stores U023A-87.
CAUSE
The replacement steering rack/EPS and clearance-warning system had not been fully configured, and the front ultrasonic-sensor angles had not been registered.
CORRECTION
Configure the EPS and clearance-warning ECU, perform front ultrasonic-sensor angle registration, clear U023A-87 and related Report of Behavior DTCs, and verify park-assist operation.
