2021 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid XLE – No Start With Low Voltage at Jump Terminal

CUSTOMER CONCERN

The vehicle will not power up or start. The 12-volt battery tests good, but voltage is low at the underhood jump terminal.

CAUSE

The stud at No. 3 short connector A90/Y7 was loose, creating excessive resistance and a voltage drop between the 12-volt battery and underhood power distribution.

CORRECTION

Repair and secure the loose stud at No. 3 short connector A90/Y7, then verify full battery voltage at the underhood jump terminal and normal Ready-mode operation.
