2005 Honda Accord Hybrid – IMA Light With P0AC4 and P1448
CUSTOMER CONCERN Customer states the check-engine and IMA lights are on with DTCs P0AC4 and P1448. CAUSE The Intelligent Power Unit fan module failed the commanded fan-drive test. CORRECTION Remove and replace Intelligent Power Unit fan module. Clear IMA DTCs and verify fan operation.
2007 Ford Escape Hybrid – Low Brake Pedal After Brake Hose Repair
CUSTOMER CONCERN Customer states the brake pedal remains low after front brake-hose replacement and DTC C1525 is stored. CAUSE Air remained trapped in the electronically controlled hydraulic brake system because the required hybrid service-bleed routine had not been completed. CORRECTION Perform complete ABS service-bleed procedure with a compatible scan tool and pressure bleeder. Clear DTC C1525.
2007 Ford Escape Hybrid – ABS Light and Abnormal Brake Pedal
CUSTOMER CONCERN Customer states the ABS warning light is on and brake-pedal operation feels abnormal. The ABS module stores C1524, C1526 and U2023. CAUSE Circuit testing at the brake-pedal position sensor found the sensor signal did not agree with the 5-volt reference circuits on the Blue/Brown and Brown/White wires, confirming a failed BPP sensor. CORRECTION Remove and replace brake-pedal position sensor. Perform sensor calibration and clear ABS DTCs.
2006 Toyota Highlander Hybrid – ABS Pump Runs Frequently With C1391
CUSTOMER CONCERN Customer states the ABS pump cycles every few minutes and DTC C1391 is stored. CAUSE No external brake-fluid leak was present. Scan data showed accumulator pressure rising with the pump operating and dropping after shutdown, confirming an internal brake actuator leak. CORRECTION Remove and replace brake actuator assembly. Perform required brake-system bleed and actuator initialization.

CUSTOMER CONCERN Customer states the IMA warning is on and DTC P0A7F is stored. CAUSE Hybrid-battery testing confirmed battery-module deterioration. CORRECTION Remove and replace high-voltage IMA battery pack. Clear IMA DTCs.
2007 Honda Civic Hybrid – IMA Light With P0A7F P1570 P1435
CUSTOMER CONCERN Customer states the IMA and check-engine lights are on with P0A7F, P1570 and P1435. CAUSE Battery-block testing confirmed high-voltage IMA battery deterioration. CORRECTION Remove and replace high-voltage IMA battery pack. Program applicable control-module software and clear DTCs.
2006 Toyota Highlander Hybrid – No Brake Fluid at Right Rear Caliper
CUSTOMER CONCERN Customer states brake pads and rotors were replaced, but the brake system will not bleed and no fluid reaches the right rear caliper. CAUSE The electronically controlled brake system contained trapped air and required the Toyota scan-tool-controlled bleed routine rather than conventional manual bleeding. CORRECTION Perform complete hybrid ABS service-bleed procedure with a compatible scan tool and pressure bleeder.
2006 Toyota Prius – Hybrid Warning With P0A93
CUSTOMER CONCERN Customer states the hybrid warning is on and DTC P0A93 is stored. CAUSE The inverter cooling-water pump failed to circulate coolant through the inverter cooling system. CORRECTION Remove and replace inverter water pump. Refill and bleed inverter cooling circuit.
2007 Ford Escape Hybrid – Check Engine Light With P0128
CUSTOMER CONCERN Customer states the check-engine light is on with DTC P0128. CAUSE Cold-soak temperature comparison confirmed the engine coolant thermostat was not regulating temperature correctly. CORRECTION Remove and replace engine coolant thermostat. Refill and bleed engine cooling system.
2007 Ford Escape Hybrid – No Power Steering With C2792
CUSTOMER CONCERN Customer states electric power steering assist is inoperative and the PSCM stores DTC C2792. CAUSE Power and ground circuit testing confirmed an internal Power Steering Control Module fault. CORRECTION Remove and replace Power Steering Control Module. Program and configure replacement module as required.
