2006 Toyota Highlander Hybrid – No Brake Fluid at Right Rear Caliper

CUSTOMER CONCERN

Customer states brake pads and rotors were replaced, but the brake system will not bleed and no fluid reaches the right rear caliper.

CAUSE

The electronically controlled brake system contained trapped air and required the Toyota scan-tool-controlled bleed routine rather than conventional manual bleeding.

CORRECTION

Perform complete hybrid ABS service-bleed procedure with a compatible scan tool and pressure bleeder.
