CUSTOMER CONCERN The check-engine light is on, and DTC P2418 returns as soon as the engine starts. CAUSE Circuit testing confirmed a failed fuel-vapor vent valve in the EVAP switching circuit. CORRECTION Remove and replace the failed EVAP fuel-vapor vent valve.

CUSTOMER CONCERN The remote will not lock or unlock the doors, and the key will not turn in the ignition. CAUSE The remote LED did not illuminate when its buttons were pressed. Battery testing confirmed the key battery was good, isolating the failure to the ignition key transmitter. CORRECTION Remove and replace the failed ignition key transmitter.

CUSTOMER CONCERN The AIRMATIC warning is displayed and fault 5172 is stored for pressure sensor Y36b1. CAUSE Live-data testing confirmed failure of the internal pressure sensor in the AIRMATIC valve-block assembly. CORRECTION Remove and replace the failed AIRMATIC valve-block assembly.

CUSTOMER CONCERN The check-engine and hybrid-system warning lights are on with DTC P0A80 stored. CAUSE Hybrid-battery testing confirmed deterioration inside the high-voltage battery pack. CORRECTION Remove and replace the failed high-voltage hybrid battery pack.

CUSTOMER CONCERN The check-engine light is on with DTCs P0546 and P1081 stored. CAUSE Circuit testing confirmed an open Bank 1 Sensor 1 exhaust-temperature sensor. The exhaust flap valve moved freely and operated as designed. CORRECTION Remove and replace the failed Bank 1 Sensor 1 exhaust-temperature sensor.

CUSTOMER CONCERN The vehicle was towed in because it will not enter READY mode. DTCs P0A7A-122 and P0A94-127 were stored, and P0A94-127 returned immediately after clearing. CAUSE Resolver-circuit resistance measured from the inverter was out of specification. Testing at the hybrid transaxle isolated the confirmed failure to the power inverter. CORRECTION Remove and replace the failed power inverter.

CUSTOMER CONCERN The SRS warning is on and occupant-detection-system code 81-64 is stored. CAUSE Testing showed the occupant detection system control unit required initialization rather than component replacement. CORRECTION Perform the ODS control-unit initialization procedure and verify the occupant-detection system reads seat-weight data correctly.

CUSTOMER CONCERN The engine will not start, there is no ignition spark, and the scan tool cannot communicate with the powertrain control module. CAUSE Testing confirmed an internal failure of the powertrain control module. CORRECTION Remove and replace the failed powertrain control module.

CUSTOMER CONCERN The VSA warning is on and code 61 indicates low battery voltage. CAUSE Diagnosis confirmed a weak 12-volt battery as the source of the low-voltage VSA code. CORRECTION Remove and replace the failed 12-volt battery.

CUSTOMER CONCERN The TPMS warning remains on after a wheel and tire-pressure sensor were replaced. CAUSE The replacement tire-pressure sensor ID had not been learned by the TPMS control unit. CORRECTION Perform TPMS sensor ID learning with Honda-compatible scan and sensor-activation tools.
