2013 Toyota Prius V Five – Will Not Accept Fuel With Multiple EVAP Codes

CUSTOMER CONCERN

The fuel tank will not accept fuel and DTCs P043E, P043F, P2401, P2402, and P2419 return after EVAP pump-module replacement.

CAUSE

Dust from gravel-road operation restricted the EVAP canister fresh-air vent tube and contaminated the canister.

CORRECTION

Clean the restricted EVAP canister vent tube, remove and replace the contaminated canister as required, clear DTCs P043E, P043F, P2401, P2402, and P2419, and verify normal refueling and EVAP monitor operation.
