2013 Toyota Prius C – Multiple EVAP Codes Including P0456
CUSTOMER CONCERN The ECM stores EVAP DTCs P043E, P043F, P2401, P2402, P2419, and P0456 at the same time. CAUSE The leak-detection pump in the evaporative-emissions system failed. CORRECTION Remove and replace the failed leak-detection pump, clear the EVAP DTCs, and verify the EVAP monitor completes without resetting P043E, P043F, P2401, P2402, P2419, or P0456.
2013 Toyota Prius V Five – Will Not Accept Fuel With Multiple EVAP Codes
CUSTOMER CONCERN The fuel tank will not accept fuel and DTCs P043E, P043F, P2401, P2402, and P2419 return after EVAP pump-module replacement. CAUSE Dust from gravel-road operation restricted the EVAP canister fresh-air vent tube and contaminated the canister. CORRECTION Clean the restricted EVAP canister vent tube, remove and replace the contaminated canister as required, clear DTCs P043E, P043F, P2401, P2402, and P2419, and verify normal refueling and EVAP monitor operation.
