2013 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid – No Start After Engine Installation With P1C76

CUSTOMER CONCERN

Engine will not start after rebuilt-engine installation and DTCs P0C17 and P1C76 are stored.

CAUSE

Drive-motor and generator resolver positions were not learned after engine installation.

CORRECTION

Perform the resolver position sensor calibration with a compatible scan tool according to bulletin 11-HC-001, clear DTCs P0C17 and P1C76, and verify the engine starts and hybrid system operates normally.
