CUSTOMER CONCERN

Malfunction indicator lamp is on with electric water-pump DTC P31E9.

CAUSE

Electric water pump No. 1 at the right-front corner near the coolant reservoir had failed.

CORRECTION

Remove and replace electric water pump No. 1, refill and bleed the cooling system, clear DTC P31E9, and verify pump and cooling-system operation.
