CUSTOMER CONCERN Power-steering assist remains unavailable after replacement of the assist motor, with DTC C0460 stored in the Power Steering Control Module. CAUSE The replacement repair was incomplete because the PSCM software and steering position/torque-sensor calibration had not been set up. CORRECTION Program the Power Steering Control Module with current software, perform the steering position and torque-sensor calibration, clear C0460, and verify power-steering assist.

CUSTOMER CONCERN Electric power-steering assist is inoperative with DTC C0460. CAUSE Testing confirmed a failed electric power-steering motor. CORRECTION Remove and replace the failed electric power-steering motor.
