2011 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Hybrid – Stalls After Storage With P0BBD and P1A1F
CUSTOMER CONCERN The engine stalls after the vehicle sat for an extended period and DTCs P0BBD and P1A1F are stored. CAUSE The high-voltage battery state of charge fell too low during extended storage to support normal hybrid operation. CORRECTION Recharge the high-voltage battery using the scan-tool Jump Assist procedure, clear P0BBD and P1A1F, and verify starting and hybrid operation.
2010 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Hybrid – No Power Steering With C0460
CUSTOMER CONCERN Power-steering assist remains unavailable after replacement of the assist motor, with DTC C0460 stored in the Power Steering Control Module. CAUSE The replacement repair was incomplete because the PSCM software and steering position/torque-sensor calibration had not been set up. CORRECTION Program the Power Steering Control Module with current software, perform the steering position and torque-sensor calibration, clear C0460, and verify power-steering assist.
2010 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Hybrid – Service Hybrid System Message and No SDGM Communication
CUSTOMER CONCERN The Service Hybrid System message is displayed, the Serial Data Gateway Module does not communicate, and DTC B1000 is stored. CAUSE Power and ground load tests passed, confirming an internal failure of the Serial Data Gateway Module. CORRECTION Remove and replace the Serial Data Gateway Module, program and configure the replacement module, clear B1000, and verify hybrid-system communication.
2009 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Hybrid – Low Oil Pressure With P0011 P0521
CUSTOMER CONCERN Customer states engine oil pressure drops intermittently and reduced-power operation occurs. DTCs P0011 and P0521 are stored. CAUSE Mechanical oil-pressure testing showed pressure falling after warm-up. The engine oil was low and approximately 15,000 miles overdue, restricting camshaft-actuator oil control. CORRECTION Flush engine oiling system, replace engine oil and filter and refill to specification. Clear DTCs P0011 and P0521 and verify warm oil pressure
