2010 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Hybrid – No Power Steering With C0460
CUSTOMER CONCERN Power-steering assist remains unavailable after replacement of the assist motor, with DTC C0460 stored in the Power Steering Control Module. CAUSE The replacement repair was incomplete because the PSCM software and steering position/torque-sensor calibration had not been set up. CORRECTION Program the Power Steering Control Module with current software, perform the steering position and torque-sensor calibration, clear C0460, and verify power-steering assist.
2010 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Hybrid – Service Hybrid System Message and No SDGM Communication
CUSTOMER CONCERN The Service Hybrid System message is displayed, the Serial Data Gateway Module does not communicate, and DTC B1000 is stored. CAUSE Power and ground load tests passed, confirming an internal failure of the Serial Data Gateway Module. CORRECTION Remove and replace the Serial Data Gateway Module, program and configure the replacement module, clear B1000, and verify hybrid-system communication.
2010 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Hybrid – Repeat Valve-Cover Oil Leak
CUSTOMER CONCERN A valve-cover oil leak returns, the oil dipstick is pushed out of its tube, and moisture is present in the fresh-air tube. CAUSE Inspection confirmed a failed crankcase-ventilation condition was allowing pressure and moisture buildup at the valve cover. CORRECTION Remove and replace the valve cover and install the updated vented oil-fill cap.
2010 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Hybrid – Driver Temperature Changes to Full Hot
CUSTOMER CONCERN Driver-side climate-control temperature intermittently changes to full hot. CAUSE DTC B0413 was stored, and testing confirmed a failed driver-side blend-air-door actuator. CORRECTION Remove and replace the failed driver-side blend-air-door actuator.
2010 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Hybrid – Stability Code C0710 Resets Immediately
CUSTOMER CONCERN Service Stability warning is on and DTC C0710 resets immediately after clearing. CAUSE Testing confirmed a failed steering-wheel position sensor. CORRECTION Remove and replace the failed steering-wheel position sensor. Center and calibrate the replacement sensor.
2010 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Hybrid – Intermittent Stall and No Start With P0230 and U0109
CUSTOMER CONCERN Engine stalls intermittently and may not restart, with no fuel pressure and DTCs P0230 and U0109. CAUSE Testing confirmed an internal failure of the fuel-pump control module. CORRECTION Remove and replace the failed fuel-pump control module. Program and configure the replacement module.
2010 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Hybrid – No Crank With P1AE2, P1B05 and P1B06
CUSTOMER CONCERN Vehicle will not crank and stores DTCs P1AE2, P1B05 and P1B06. CAUSE The high-voltage interlock remained open because the manual-disconnect lever and sight shield were not fully seated. CORRECTION Correctly seat the high-voltage manual-disconnect lever and install the sight shield to close the interlock circuit.
