2008 Mercury Mariner Hybrid – No Crank With Multiple Hybrid Codes

CUSTOMER CONCERN

Customer states the engine will not crank and numerous hybrid-system DTCs are stored.

CAUSE

The DTCs were shutdown effects from an electronics overheat condition, and testing confirmed the Motor Electronics Cooling System pump failed to circulate coolant.

CORRECTION

Remove and replace Motor Electronics Cooling System pump. Refill and bleed electronics cooling circuit, clear DTCs and verify pump operation.
