CUSTOMER CONCERN A cooling-system warning appears on the instrument panel and DTC P2602 is stored for the electric engine-coolant pump. CAUSE The electric engine-coolant pump failed after its power, ground, trigger, and speed-monitor circuits were verified. CORRECTION Remove and replace the failed electric engine-coolant pump, refill and bleed the cooling system, clear DTC P2602, and verify normal pump and cooling-system operation.
2014 Honda Accord Hybrid – No Crank After Engine Replacement
CUSTOMER CONCERN Hybrid system will not crank the engine after engine replacement; no DTCs are stored and the immobilizer indicates RUN. CAUSE High-voltage battery cell-data PIDs measured below 50 volts, preventing the hybrid system from cranking the engine. CORRECTION Remove and replace the high-voltage battery, perform the system code clear, and verify the engine starts and the hybrid system operates normally.
2007 Honda Accord Hybrid – False Misfire Codes With No Engine Miss
CUSTOMER CONCERN Customer states the check-engine light is on with misfire codes even though the engine runs smoothly and no misfire is felt. CAUSE Diagnosis confirmed the PCM calibration was falsely detecting cylinder misfires. CORRECTION Program PCM with updated calibration. Clear misfire DTCs and perform crankshaft-position relearn.
2005 Honda Accord Hybrid – IMA Light With P0AC4 and P1448
CUSTOMER CONCERN Customer states the check-engine and IMA lights are on with DTCs P0AC4 and P1448. CAUSE The Intelligent Power Unit fan module failed the commanded fan-drive test. CORRECTION Remove and replace Intelligent Power Unit fan module. Clear IMA DTCs and verify fan operation.
2007 Honda Accord Hybrid – IMA Light With P0A7F
CUSTOMER CONCERN Customer states the IMA warning is on and DTC P0A7F is stored. CAUSE Hybrid-battery testing confirmed battery-module deterioration. CORRECTION Remove and replace high-voltage IMA battery pack. Clear IMA DTCs.
2006 Honda Accord Hybrid – False Multiple-Cylinder Misfire Codes
CUSTOMER CONCERN Multiple-cylinder misfire codes were recorded even though the engine ran smoothly and no actual misfire was felt. CAUSE The PCM calibration was falsely detecting misfires. CORRECTION The PCM was reprogrammed and the crankshaft-position sensor learn procedure was performed.
2006 Honda Accord Hybrid – IMA Light With P0A7F
CUSTOMER CONCERN The IMA and check-engine lights were on with DTC P0A7F. CAUSE The high-voltage battery module had deteriorated. CORRECTION The high-voltage battery was replaced.

CUSTOMER CONCERN The Vehicle Stability Assist warning light was on and the traction-control system stored code 84-1. CAUSE The VSA pressure-sensor neutral position had not been correctly memorized. CORRECTION The VSA pressure-sensor neutral-position memorization procedure was completed.
