2017 Honda Accord Hybrid – Cooling-System Warning With P2602

CUSTOMER CONCERN

A cooling-system warning appears on the instrument panel and DTC P2602 is stored for the electric engine-coolant pump.

CAUSE

The electric engine-coolant pump failed after its power, ground, trigger, and speed-monitor circuits were verified.

CORRECTION

Remove and replace the failed electric engine-coolant pump, refill and bleed the cooling system, clear DTC P2602, and verify normal pump and cooling-system operation.
