CUSTOMER CONCERN The vehicle has a no-crank, no-start condition with a Service Hybrid System message and DTC P0BBD after an earlier stall. CAUSE The BECM reported insufficient drive-motor battery voltage, and the confirmed repair identified the high-voltage battery assembly as failed. CORRECTION Remove and replace the drive-motor high-voltage battery assembly, clear DTC P0BBD, and verify starting and hybrid-system operation.
2012 GMC Yukon Denali Hybrid – No Power Steering With C056E-4B
CUSTOMER CONCERN Power-steering assist is unavailable and the PSCM stores DTC C056E-4B. CAUSE The confirmed repair identified an invalid Power Steering Control Module calibration rather than a failed steering motor or power circuit. CORRECTION Calibrate the Power Steering Control Module and perform the steering position and torque-sensor calibration, then clear C056E-4B and verify steering assist.
2010 GMC Yukon Hybrid – Repeat Engine Oil Leak
CUSTOMER CONCERN The engine has a repeat oil leak, the dipstick is pushed out of its tube, and moisture is present in the fresh-air tube. CAUSE Inspection confirmed a leaking valley-pan gasket and an oil-pressure-sensor leak rather than an isolated rear-main-seal failure. CORRECTION Remove and replace the valley-pan gasket and leaking oil-pressure sensor, clean the crankcase-ventilation passages, and verify the oil leak is eliminated.

Perform required module setup and clear hybrid-system DTCs.
2008 GMC Yukon Hybrid – Engine Stalls at Stops With Communication Loss
CUSTOMER CONCERN Customer states the engine stalls at stops instead of completing a normal Auto Stop. Multiple ECM, HPCM and TCM communication DTCs are stored. CAUSE Inspection following bulletin 08-07-30-021H confirmed chafed high-speed CAN wiring causing intermittent module communication loss. CORRECTION Repair chafed high-speed CAN wiring and protect harness from repeat contact. Clear communication DTCs and verify normal Auto Stop operation.

CUSTOMER CONCERN Customer states the engine intermittently stalls during Auto Start, often will not restart and displays Service Hybrid System. DTC P0BBD is stored. CAUSE Battery-module voltage testing and the applicable battery service bulletin confirmed an internal hybrid battery-pack failure. CORRECTION Remove and replace hybrid battery-pack assembly. Perform sequential EBCM, HCP, ECM, TCM and BECM programming, clear DTCs and verify Auto Start operation.
