2010 GMC Yukon Hybrid – Repeat Engine Oil Leak

CUSTOMER CONCERN

The engine has a repeat oil leak, the dipstick is pushed out of its tube, and moisture is present in the fresh-air tube.

CAUSE

Inspection confirmed a leaking valley-pan gasket and an oil-pressure-sensor leak rather than an isolated rear-main-seal failure.

CORRECTION

Remove and replace the valley-pan gasket and leaking oil-pressure sensor, clean the crankcase-ventilation passages, and verify the oil leak is eliminated.
