2008 GMC Yukon Hybrid – Engine Stalls During Auto Start With P0BBD

CUSTOMER CONCERN

Customer states the engine intermittently stalls during Auto Start, often will not restart and displays Service Hybrid System. DTC P0BBD is stored.

CAUSE

Battery-module voltage testing and the applicable battery service bulletin confirmed an internal hybrid battery-pack failure.

CORRECTION

Remove and replace hybrid battery-pack assembly. Perform sequential EBCM, HCP, ECM, TCM and BECM programming, clear DTCs and verify Auto Start operation.
