CUSTOMER CONCERN Cabin heater blows cold when heat is selected. CAUSE The G36 auxiliary heater coolant pump did not run although its power, ground, light green/gray terminal 1 command circuit, and violet/yellow terminal 3 duty-cycle circuit tested correctly. CORRECTION Remove and replace the G36 auxiliary heater coolant pump and verify cabin heat operation.
2014 Chevrolet Volt – Service High Voltage Charging System With P1FFF
CUSTOMER CONCERN Service High Voltage Charging System message is displayed with DTC P1FFF. CAUSE Confirmed failed hybrid battery coolant level sensor. CORRECTION Remove and replace the hybrid battery coolant level sensor, clear DTC P1FFF, and verify the high-voltage charging system operates normally.
2013 Chevrolet Volt – Heater Cold in Electric Mode
CUSTOMER CONCERN Cabin heater blows cold unless the gasoline engine is running. CAUSE The front electric auxiliary heater coolant pump would not operate when commanded. CORRECTION Remove and replace the auxiliary heater coolant pump and verify cabin heat in electric mode.
2013 Chevrolet Volt – StabiliTrak Warning With C0287
CUSTOMER CONCERN StabiliTrak warning is on with Electronic Brake Control Module DTC C0287. CAUSE Confirmed failed B119 multi-axis acceleration sensor after power, ground, and chassis expansion bus checks. CORRECTION Remove and replace the B119 multi-axis acceleration sensor, perform the vehicle yaw sensor learn, clear DTC C0287, and verify stability-control operation.
2012 Chevrolet Volt – No Start or Electric Propulsion With P0A0C
CUSTOMER CONCERN The vehicle will not start or move under electric power after transmission work and stores DTCs P0A0C and P1E00. CAUSE The power-inverter-module cable cover did not complete the high-voltage interlock circuit because it was missing, damaged, or incorrectly seated. CORRECTION Remove and replace the power-inverter-module cable cover, seat the high-voltage interlock connector correctly, clear P0A0C and P1E00, and verify Ready mode and propulsion.
2012 Chevrolet Volt – Service High Voltage Charging System With P1FFD and P1FFF
CUSTOMER CONCERN The Service High Voltage Charging System message is displayed with DTCs P1FFD and P1FFF. CAUSE Graphing the battery coolant-level-sensor circuit showed intermittent voltage spikes to 5 volts instead of the normal 3.5 volts, confirming a sensor-harness fault. CORRECTION Remove and replace the drive-motor battery coolant-level sensor harness, program the HPCM2 and BECM updates supported by the repair, clear P1FFD and P1FFF, and verify charging-system operation.
2012 Chevrolet Volt – Check-Engine Light After Collision Repair With P1E00 and P0C4A
CUSTOMER CONCERN The check-engine light remains on after collision repairs with DTCs P1E00 and P0C4A. CAUSE Air trapped in the high-voltage battery cooling circuit prevented proper coolant-pump flow and set the cooling-system fault. CORRECTION Refill and bleed the high-voltage battery cooling system with the Vac-N-Fill procedure, repeat thermal cycles as required, clear the DTCs, and verify coolant-pump operation.
2012 Chevrolet Volt – High-Voltage Battery Will Not Charge With P0D26
CUSTOMER CONCERN The high-voltage battery will not charge and DTCs P0D26, P0CD2, and P1E00 are stored. CAUSE The confirmed repair identified the X98 hybrid/EV battery charger receptacle as failed. CORRECTION Remove and replace the X98 hybrid/EV battery charger receptacle, clear P0D26, P0CD2, and P1E00, and verify plug-in charging operation.
