CUSTOMER CONCERN

Customer states engine oil pressure drops intermittently and reduced-power operation occurs. DTCs P0011 and P0521 are stored.

CAUSE

Mechanical oil-pressure testing showed pressure falling after warm-up. The engine oil was low and approximately 15,000 miles overdue, restricting camshaft-actuator oil control.

CORRECTION

Flush engine oiling system, replace engine oil and filter and refill to specification. Clear DTCs P0011 and P0521 and verify warm oil pressure remains above 30...
