CUSTOMER CONCERN

After front-bumper and parking-sensor replacement, DTC C1AEC sets for a front ultrasonic-sensor communication fault.

CAUSE

The replacement front ultrasonic sensors had not been initialized, leaving the parking-assist system in an unconfigured state.

CORRECTION

Initialize the No. 1 and No. 2 front ultrasonic sensors with the OE scan tool, clear DTC C1AEC, and verify normal front parking-assist operation.
