2014 Toyota Prius – Hazard Lights Flash Continuously

CUSTOMER CONCERN

All turn-signal lamps flash continuously as though the hazard switch is on.

CAUSE

The hazard-switch input circuit was shorted through Junction Block No. 3; testing at turn-signal flasher pin 8 on the yellow wire isolated the circuit fault.

CORRECTION

Install a repaired overlay circuit between the hazard switch and turn-signal/hazard flasher to bypass the shorted Junction Block No. 3 path, then verify normal turn-signal and hazard-lamp operation.
