2013 Honda Civic Hybrid – A/C Compressor Does Not Engage

CUSTOMER CONCERN

The A/C compressor does not engage.

CAUSE

The compressor/clutch assembly failed after the clutch power circuit, A/C request data, thermal protector, evaporator-temperature input, ambient-temperature input, and blower operation were checked.

CORRECTION

Remove and replace the failed A/C compressor and clutch assembly, recharge the refrigerant system, and verify compressor engagement and normal cabin cooling.
