2012 Toyota Prius – Brake Codes After Caliper Replacement

CUSTOMER CONCERN

After rear brake-caliper replacement, DTCs C1203, C1345, and C1451 are stored.

CAUSE

The brake hydraulic system had not been completely bled and the linear-valve offset had not been learned after brake service; C1451 indicates the brake pump is disabled until bleeding is completed.

CORRECTION

Perform the complete scan-tool brake-bleeding procedure, clear DTCs C1203, C1345, and C1451, perform the linear-valve offset calibration on level ground, and verify normal brake operation.
