2012 Toyota Prius C One – Hybrid System Fault With P0A94-172 and P0A1A

CUSTOMER CONCERN

DTCs P0A94-172 and P0A1A reset immediately when the power button is pressed.

CAUSE

After the engine, motor-generator resolver circuits and their connections were checked, the fault was confirmed inside the power inverter module/inverter-converter assembly.

CORRECTION

Remove and replace the failed power inverter module/inverter-converter assembly, clear P0A94-172 and P0A1A, and verify the hybrid system enters READY mode without resetting the codes.
