CAUSE Voltage entered but did not exit the normally closed compressor thermal-protector circuit, confirming an open thermal protector inside the A/C compressor. CORRECTION Remove and replace the A/C compressor assembly, clear B2992, and verify air-conditioning operation.

CUSTOMER CONCERN The air-conditioning system does not cool because the compressor clutch will not engage. CAUSE The confirmed repair identified a failed A/C compressor thermal protector that prevented compressor-clutch operation.
