2010 Toyota Highlander Hybrid – No Start After 12-Volt Battery Replacement

CUSTOMER CONCERN

The vehicle will not start after replacement of a weak 12-volt battery. The brake lamps are inoperative, and the skid-control and engine modules will not communicate.

CAUSE

Power-distribution testing confirmed the 140-amp DC-DC fuse in the engine-compartment fuse box was open.

CORRECTION

Remove and replace the failed 140-amp DC-DC fuse.
