CUSTOMER CONCERN

Check-engine light is on with evaporative-emissions DTC P2422.

CAUSE

The evaporative carbon canister was internally restricted; the removed canister had substantially less airflow than the replacement unit.

CORRECTION

Remove and replace the restricted evaporative carbon canister, clear DTC P2422, and verify the EVAP vent system operates without restriction.
