CUSTOMER CONCERN Check-engine light is on with evaporative-emissions DTC P2422. CAUSE The evaporative carbon canister was internally restricted; the removed canister had substantially less airflow than the replacement unit. CORRECTION Remove and replace the restricted evaporative carbon canister, clear DTC P2422, and verify the EVAP vent system operates without restriction.

CUSTOMER CONCERN The check-engine light is on and EVAP-system DTC P2422 is stored. CAUSE EVAP testing isolated a restriction between the canister and fuel tank to a blocked canister vent filter. CORRECTION Remove and replace the canister vent filter, clear P2422, and verify the EVAP system passes its restriction test.

CUSTOMER CONCERN The check-engine light is on with EVAP-system DTC P2422 stored. CAUSE EVAP vent-path testing and the confirmed repair identified a restricted canister vent filter. The fuel-tank pressure sensor Green wire specification is approximately 2.5 volts with no vacuum or pressure applied. CORRECTION Remove and replace the restricted canister vent filter, then verify EVAP-system operation and confirm DTC P2422 does not return.
