2010 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Hybrid – Repeat Valve-Cover Oil Leak

CUSTOMER CONCERN

A valve-cover oil leak returns, the oil dipstick is pushed out of its tube, and moisture is present in the fresh-air tube.

CAUSE

Inspection confirmed a failed crankcase-ventilation condition was allowing pressure and moisture buildup at the valve cover.

CORRECTION

Remove and replace the valve cover and install the updated vented oil-fill cap.
